*One - 2.5" base and heights 3-4". Glass strips are placed knowing that when you fire it you will create a piece of glass with a lot of airflow. This is then slumped using a special program in which the operator judges when the glass has curved enough to become a vessel. The glass heats to 1200 degrees F and the operator carefully opens the kiln and peaks in to judge the movement of the glass.
