There is a stretch of highway in Kansas where you are looking from horizon to horizon and seeing the same thing you would have seen 200 years ago. It is called the Flint Hills. There are no cell towers, power lines or even houses. This is the stark beauty that I found myself trying to recreate.
This painting sits in a black lacquer frame that is 47" x 30" and surrounded by a triple mat of cream, cream, maroon. It comes with 2 sets of hanging wires since it is heavier than normal.
