Artist Sandy Drexel designed a vibrant plate by combining glass bars of reactive colors. By layering colors derived from two distinct metal types, dynamic reactions occur between the glass elements. These strips are arranged atop an orange glass base and fired to 1425°. Afterward, the pieces are cut, positioned vertically, and re-fired to 1425°. Once firing is complete, Sandy signs the piece and shapes it into a sushi dish. Please note, this dish is decorative and not intended for food use.
