Artist Sandy Drexel explored the interplay of glass to create multiple optical illusions within a single piece. Beginning with carefully arranged stringer triangles and the green frame, she then layered clear glass in diverse shapes and patterns, all fused in one firing process. The 6" origami bowl, featuring delicate bends and folds, elevates the effect by giving the impression of floating glass in three dimensions.
