Artist Sandy Drexel transforms springtime blooms into glass art with this Easter Lily featured on a 9" x 9" robin’s egg blue glass plate. Crafted from a living lily, the flower was dusted with powdered glass and fused beneath a piece of Irid glass, creating a stunning embedded floral effect. The irid glass was then fused under a clear piece of glass making it safe for food service. The plate is signed by the artist and then carefully slumped into a sushi mold, causing the edges to gently rise.
