Artist Sandy Drexel employs three colors alongside clear glass to craft diverse glass artworks. In this piece, she utilizes a signature crackle technique where powdered marigold glass blankets a 4.5" x 4.5" glass base of transparent peacock. The unpredictable cracking of the marigold glass results in a distinctive and visually compelling pattern. Afterward, the glass is signed by Sandy and gently slumped into a sushi-shaped form with subtly elevated edges. The textured surface is safe for food use.
