The Shade of Sun Sculpture stands 16" tall and 13" wide. This sculpture should be considered extremely unique with the hundreds of pieces of handmade glass melted together and only controlled by the flow of glass. The creation of colors and patterns in the glass can never be recreated.
Artist, Sandy Drexel, has made the glass through various advanced glass fusion techniques. She created murini canes of glass then cut them apart and pieced them together causing the glass to stretch and reform during multiple sessions of kiln work to make this glass fusion. The final product is fit into an iron stand that will attract your eyes to enjoy the catching of the suns rays.
