This 7.5" diameter round bowl will never see a bowl of cereal. It was not made from a sheet of glass; instead the base of the bowl is a rainbow of colors of frit. Frit is glass broken up into fine little pebbles. It is actually costs more to use frit per square inch than it does to cut a glass piece for a bowl.
That frit rainbow was then covered with a coating of clear frit. It almost looks like a sugar or ice coating. Because of the nature of the bowl we do not using the bowl for food.
